C81 ZOOTY CUTIES COLLECTION

You will need:

Fabscraps MC81 001A carder’s pack

Fabscraps DC81 006 chipboard

Flowers

Brad

Glitter glue 

Ribbon

Dew drops

White cardstock: one 10” piece 

Glue

Glue dots

Gesso

Scor-Pal™, or other scoring tool

 

Instructions:

1.               Prepare you card base by cutting a 10” x 6” from a white cardstock and scoring it at 5” on the 10” sidE. Hand tier a piece of yellow patterned paper from the carders pack and adhere it in the front of the card on the right side – don’t put glue on top right corner: score this corner and adhere it. Place a dew drop on it. Under this corner put some flowers.
3.               Hand tier a piece of bubble patterned paper from the carders pack and adhere it in the front of the card on the left side, overlapping the other paper.
4.               Cover your chipboard with gesso. Once dried, apply glitter glue on it. Adhere it where shown.
5.               Adhere pieces of ribbon where shown and add a dew drop on one side.
6.               Using the die cuts from carders pack create a banner on the top of the card. Embellish with dew drops.

C77 SERENITY COLLECTION 

Mixed Media Layout 

This page is a really special page for me as it tells a story of love that a Mother has for her son.

Supplies List:

Patterned Paper: FabScraps C77 001 Cherished, FabScraps C77 007 Serenity, FabScraps C77 008 Serenity 2, FabScraps C77 005 Peaceful, FabScraps C77 003 Harmony
Stencils:  FabScraps DS033 Birds Of Paradise
Chipboard: Lg Lilly Filligree 7.5"X3" Fits DC77 013; Always & Forever 3"X4" DC77 007
Blooms: 2 medium sized purple flowers and approx. 15 small purple flowers
Cardstock: Watercolour paper; Denim Blue; 2 shades of green
Die-Cuts:  1 large 7inch diameter ornate circle and 1 4inch diameter plain circle; various leaf die-cuts
Green and purple small gems
3D Adhesive Foam
Stamps: Prima Leaf and background stamp
Distress Ink – Shaded Lilac
Pigment Ink – Sahara Sand; Brilliance Pearlescent Ivy
Gesso
Acrylic Paint: White and Denim Blue
Spray bottle and water

Instructions:
1
.     Cut the denim blue cardstock to 30cm x 30cm and distress the edges.
2.     Cut the watercolour paper to 28,5cm x 28,5cm and distress the edges.
3.     Using the Birds of Paradise stencil, use only the flower half of the stencil and gesso 2 flowers on the top left and bottom right hand corners, as per the layout photo. Allow this to dry.
4.     Using your spray bottle, spray liberal amounts of water over your gesso areas.  Add little drops of denim blue paint onto these wet areas.  Now spritz more water into these little drops of paint, so that it starts to run.  Pick up your page and move the paint and water around, so that it runs in between your gesso stencilled areas. Allow this to dry.
5.     Randomly stamp with the Prima background stamp, all over your page, using Sahara Sand pigment ink.
6.     Cut or punch the 7inch diameter ornate circle from the Serenity 2 patterned paper and edge with the denim blue paint.  Allow this to dry, raise with 3D foam and then adhere to the page, between the stencilled flowers, as per the layout photo.
7.     Cut the 4inch diameter plain circle from the Peaceful patterned paper and adhere to the centre of your 7inch diameter ornate circle.
8.     Double matt the photo with firstly the denim blue cardstock and then the greyish side of the Harmony patterned paper.
9.     Raise the matted photo with 3D foam and adhere to the middle of the plain circle.
10. Paint the large Lilly filigree chipboard with denim blue paint.  Allow this to dry and then add white highlights. Adhere to the left hand side of the ornate circle and photo.
11. Stamp with the Prima leaf stamp around the top left hand side of the ornate circle down towards to the right hand side of the page, using Pearlescent Ivy.
12. Ink the Always and Forever chipboard with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink and then heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Allow to cool and then cut the chipboard into 3 separate words.
13. Cut various leaf die-cuts from the 2 shades of green cardstock and highlight with a white gel pen.
14.  Raise and adhere the medium sized purple flowers over the flowers on the chipboard piece.
15. Add the various leaf die-cuts in and around the purple blooms and flowing into the stencilled gesso flowers. Now glue the small purple flowers randomly in and around the leaf die-cuts and medium purple blooms.
16. Fussy cut 2 butterflies from the Cherished patterned paper. Raise these and adhere to the page, as per the layout photo.
17. Lightly bend the Always and Forever words to curve them and stick down with white glue.
18. Fussy cut 2 postage stamps from the Serenity patterned paper and tuck and glue under the right hand side of the photo.
19. Add the purple and green gems around the 7inch ornate circle and along the stencilled gesso flowers.
20. Add highlights all over the edges, flowers, and leaves using a fine paintbrush and white acrylic paint.
21. Lastly add your hand written journalling.

For This Layout You Will Need:

Flowers, Trims, Cheese cloth;
Gesso, Modeling Paste, Gel medium
Blue and Brown Mists, Red Paint

Picture, Old book paper


Instructions:

1. Cover your page C80007 with a thin layer of gesso &  let dry naturally or dry off using your heat/embossing gun.
2. Choose papers & layer them in the order you want them to appear on
your page. Glue the papers & apply gesso around them too. Your layered stacks should also include some old book paper. Use stamps randomly.
3.Using your Fabscraps Zotty Dots stencil apply a thick layer of texture paste randomly, in various areas on your page & let it dry, either naturally or using your heat gun.
4. Start applying blue mists randomly. Add water if desired & allow the
colour to spread & form patterns.  Allow to dry completely.
5. Start adding your chosen elements: picture, flowers, trims, cheese cloth.
6. Add more blue and brown colors using a mists & red paint with white
gesso. You can blot off excess with a paper towel.
7. Add mica flakes and colored grit with gel medium. Allow to dry
completely.
8.  Add more stamps, mists and gesso if desired.
9. Add your title -Fabscraps Chipboard DC80005 and add small splashes with
black & white inks.
10. Your layout is done!

C79 CHRISTMAS MEMORIES

For This Layout You Will Need:

·      FabScraps Christmas Memories  paper range : C79 001, 002, 003, 006 & 008
·      Chipboard Piece : DC79 005 & 008
·      FAB Stencil 038
·      Silhouette Cameo
·      White Acrylic Paint
·      Green, Brown & Red Cardstock
·      Kraft Cardstock
·      Gold Stickles
·      Tim Holtz Tattered Pinecone Die
·      Cuttlebug D’vine Swirl Embossing Folder
·      Chipboard Frames
·      Ranger Embossing Powder Gilded Gold
·      Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, Fired Brick & Forest Moss
·      Metal Embellishments, Brown Flower Stems, Leaves, Red Hessian, Santa Hat, Ribbons &Trims

Instructions:

1.     Silhouette Cameo :
·      Cut 4 poinsettias from red cardstock. Emboss with the d’vine swirl embossing folder.  Glue the pieces of the flower together and add the brown flower stems as per the picture. Lightly paint here and there with white paint.
·      Cut some pine boughs from kraft cardstock. Ink with gathered twigs and forest moss and lightly paint with white paint.
·      Cut a circle from sheet 006 and ink the edges with gathered twigs.
2.     Trim the edges of 001, 003 and 006, ink the edges with gathered twigs. Paint the edges of sheet 001 with white paint.
3.     Paint the chipboard frames with white paint, adhere the frames with sheet 002, 004, 008 and red hessian as per the picture.  Add the photo to the one frame and the Santa hat.
4.     Die cut 3 pinecones from kraft cardstock and assemble. Ink the edges with gathered twigs and lightly dry brush with white paint.
5.     Ink chipboard piece 008 with gathered twigs, forest moss and fired brick (except the ornaments) emboss the ornaments with gilded gold and adhere red hessian to the back.
6.     Emboss chipboard piece 005 with gilded gold (name only). Paint the candle white and ink the leaves with forest moss. Add gold stickles to the ‘flame’ of the candle.
7.     Cut a tag from sheet 008, ink the edges with gathered twigs and matt onto green cardstock.
8.     Cut the words (Christmas Memories) from sheet 008 and ink the edges with gathered twigs, matt onto brown and red cardstock.
9.     Add the rest of the embellishments and trims as per the picture.
10.  All Done! Just frame and hang!
