Christmas Card – by Jeanine de Bruyn
C90 Christmas Snow Collection

Requirements – 1 sheet Santas Wreath C90 008
                             1 sheet Snow Family C90 001
                             Red Cardstock
                             A straw
                             White and Silver Ribbons

Directions – Cut your red Cardstock to measure 29 x 14cm and scallop all of the edges. From the Santa’s Wreath paper (I used the back of the paper) cut a piece 12x18cm and from the Snow Family paper cut one of the Happy Holidays strips. Fold the red cardstock in half this will be the base of your card. Glue the 12x18cm piece to the card overlapping onto the back of the card.

Glue the Happy Holidays strip to the top of the card. From the Snow Family paper cut out two of the father Christmas wreaths and from the same paper cut out some squares to make presents for under the tree.

Cut your straw to about 9cm, tie the white and silver ribbons to the straw alternating the colours and sizes of the ribbons. Cut the ribbons to resemble a tree shape. I add small silver ‘bling’ to decorate the tree.

Glue the tree to the middle of the card slightly more to the top of the card as you will need to leave place for the presents at the bottom of the card.
Add one of the Santa wreaths you cut out to the top of the tree and the other to the back of the card in the middle of the overlapping paper.

Glue one of the presents to the bottom of the tree (to cover the bottom of the straw) using a little bit of foam tape to lift it. Glue the rest of the presents to the bottom of the card, add some ribbon and strips of paper to decorate the presents. To finish off the card I went around the scallops of the card with a white pen.

Happy Holiday crafting everyone!

Card

For this card you will need:

Carder’s Pack MC90 001A
Stencil DS 059 C90 range
Chipboard die-cut SEASON OF JOY DC90 004
Other: clear gesso, texture paste, green mica powder, red glitter acrylic ink, white acrylic ink

Instructions:

STEP 1:
On Silhouette, out of two different papers from the Carder’s Pack MC90 001A cut mistletoe branches to use as embellishments.

STEP 2:
The white wood side of the card will be your base (you can glue it on a card to make it sturdier). To make sure the wet mediums don’t soak through the page, prime it with a layer of clear matte gesso (that will make it waterproof but will not fade out the original paper design).

STEP 3:
Using the acrylic inks, paint the Chipboard die-cut SEASON OF JOY DC90 004 – use red for the phrase, Santa’s hat and the bow; paint the rest white.

STEP 3:
Mix texture paste with green mica powder, run it through the Stencil DS 059 C90 range. Once almost dry, dust the mica powder it and leave to dry completely. Sprinkle red and white acrylic inks all over the card.

STEP 4:
Attach the mistletoe branches across the page using glue; mount the chipboard on top.

Your card is ready!

C87 Journey in Time Collection Tag by Bev Code

FOR THIS TAG YOU WILL NEED:
Supply List:
Other: metal accent, twine, ink, Memory Box die, ribbons

INSTRUCTIONS:
STEPS #1: Pull the papers, accents and the chipboard. Cut the tag base shape.

STEP #2:  Start by colouring your chipboard. I use copic markers on mine. Cut layers and pieces to fit the tag size. I put a background under the chipboard for more colour.

STEP #3: I added some stenciling to the background piece... but then decided to add yet another darker mat to background.. so double shaped background.  Using a few of the shaped accents.. the luggage tag and the airplane along with the metal accent.... lay things onto the base and decide on placement.

STEP #4: Notice the corner die cut circles on the purple checked paper... adds more texture and depth. Matted it with darker plain paper so the colours would pop.

STEP #5: Assemble the pieces in layers.

STEP #6: Just remember you can add a little or a lot... your choice .. just remember have fun when creating. Lastly tie off the top with ribbons.

Here are the 2 close up views to show the details.

Thanks for joining me today.

C86 Mother Earth Collection Card
by Bev Code

FOR THIS CARD YOU WILL NEED:
Paper: C86 Mother Nature Collection, 007 Berrylicious, 002 Botanical Bulb
Chipboard: CD86 015
Markers: copic
Sketch: Feeling Sketchy
Other: cardstock, mini 8 punch, twine, flower, alpha label

INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP #1: When creating cards with or without a sketch I like to grab the paper collection and pull at least 3-5 papers that coordinate leaving my options open as I go along. If there are matching accents I pull them too or have paper options that allow punching or making accents too.

STEP #2: For this card I started again with a single sheet background to make mounting to the full card base later easier.  On this one I started with the full striped sheet matted with cardstock. I used the mini 8 punch to create the circular punched background and it was matted so the punched edge would pop with colour.

STEP #3: Next I cut both the tags and sentiment pennant sized to fit the central section of the punch circle.

STEP #4: Twine was added to the tags and sentiment added to the pennant and matted.

STEP #5: Now using the chipboard accents I coloured them using copic markers. They were clustered together and a flower added to finish the extra accents.

This was very simple and easy but it's the rich elegant papers and colours that make the whole card pop.
