Metal foliage dies and a cutting machine
   Sentiment cut on cardstock
   Blooms [flowers]
   Leaves
   Acetate sentiments
   Lacey edge doily punch
   Labels metal dies
   White cardstock
   Muslin
   Cotton
   Butterfly and leaf die cuts
   Black chalk ink

Instructions for your card
1.              Using white cardstock cut 12” x 6”, score at 3”, 6”, 9” – rescore over the score marks so they are sharp defined.
2.            Open card and punch top edge using your lacey doily edge punch.
3.            Attach a section of your labels metal die with a little washi tape and run through you Cuttlebug or similar on each panel along the bottom of your card.
4.            Cut four panels of patterned paper using C91 – 004 from the Call from the Wild collection. [cut slightly smaller than the remaining section on each card panel to allow an allowance right around the paper].
5.             Ink around the edges of all patterned paper panels, sentiments, and butterflies.
6.            Now start to decorate each panel, remember to not over decorate the middle panels of the card, for ease of folding – this will be a bulky card regardless.
7.             I have adhered acetate rings under, over and around one of the panels on my card and then angled and adhered a frame panel on the front and back panels
8.            One you have finished your layering of each panel, add butterflies on the front and back panel and adhere along the middle of the body of the butterfly only and lift the butterfly wings.  Finish building your floral clusters on the front and back panels and then add a little bling randomly throughout the card.
9.            All done.

Happy creating.

C91 Calls from the Wild Collection

Mini Album

by Ewelina Gryglak

For this project you will need:

Papers:
Threatened C91 001
Vanishing C91 003
Extinction C91 006
Endangered C91 007
Chipboard die-cut TRUCK DC91 013
Chipboard die-cut CAMERA/HAT/BINOCULARS DC91 014
Stencil DS 061 C91 range
Various scrap papers from the C91 collection
Other: white card, clear and whit gesso, texture paste, brown ribbon, green/orange/brown gouache paint, mulberry flowers, glue, tape

Instructions:

PREPARATIONS:

STEP 1:
SILHOUETTE:
From the C91 papers, cut various tribal embellishments, frames, branches and ‘tall grass’ designs. – they will be used as embellishments throughout the album.

STEP 2:
Paint your chipboards using green, orange and brown paints.

STEP 3:
Fussy cut animal silhouettes from the Vanishing C91 003 paper.

STEP 4:
From white card, cut rectangles the size of your photos so that you know what you are working towards. I have framed my ‘fake photos’ and painted them with the same paints I use throughout the projects.

ALBUM BASE:
STEP 1:
Decide on the size of your album. I wanted to have pages 15cmx12cm. From the 12x12 white card stock. Cut out 3 rectangle sized 15x25 and score width-wise at 12 and 13cm. These will be your inserts.

STEP 2:
For the cover, cut out 15x27cm rectangle and score width-wise at 12 and 15cm.

STEP 3:
Glue the inserts together, making 6 pages to create on. Once dry, glue the inserts into the cover.

STEP 4:
For the cover, from the Threatened paper cut two rectangles sized 12.2x15.4 and glue them to the front and back cover.

STEP 5:
Paint the spine and, using a brad, attach the ribbon which will be used to tie the album shut.

INSERTS:
STEP 1:
From the Vanishing C91 003, Extinction C91 006 and Endangered C91 007 papers, cut 14.5x11.5 rectangles – they are the base for your inserts.

STEP 2:
Paint all the bases with clear gesso. Once dry, using DS061 stencil and texture paste, add hoof and paw prints in various directions. Sprinkle paints all over.

Now, time for embellishments.

COVER:
STEP 1:
Sprinkle paints all over the cover.

STEP 2:
Ensuring that the ribbon is placed under the cluster, arrange paper scraps and embellishments with the truck chipboard on the top.

STEP 3:
Add mulberry flowers and leaves.

INSERTS:
STEP 1:
On each of the pages, build up layers of embellishments using all the elements you prepared previously (see PREPARATION) and paper scraps building up paper clusters. On top, add the ‘fake photo’.

STEP 2:
Add mulberry flowers and leaves.

STEP 3:
Attach the inserts to the album pages.

Your mini-album is ready!
